Helmut Qualtinger, together with Carl Merz and Gerhard Bronner, was responsible for the legendary satirical cabaret programs of the 1950s and early 1960s. One of these collections of satires is “Die rot-weiss-rote Rasse,” published in 1979. It describes typical Viennese figures, many of whom will be familiar to all of us and have lost nothing of their absurd originality today.»more
