Book premiere and reading: Helmut Korherr, Für ein gutes Heute und ein besseres Morgen

Museum Dorotheergasse
© Branko Pavlovsky
In this book, the playwright and writer Helmut Korherr presents contemporary history in a scenic manner by combining six “plays against inhumanity” which, in addition to recounting dramatic private fates, show the dangers and horrors of the National Socialist era. Besides well-known and famous persons such as Eugenie Schwarzwald, Maria Montessori or the Trapp family, he also places people on the stage who you won’t find in history books. Korherr always embeds the plots of his pieces in the historical context, so that he always draws a picture of the respective era.

Erika Deutinger and Kurt Hexmann read from the book.
Petra Pawlik-Mayerhofer accompanies on the piano.
