We celebrate Chrismukkah!
At the Jewish Museum Vienna you can experience how to combine two festivals – Christmas and Chanukah – in a creative way! This year’s Chanukah festival starts on December 2nd. We celebrate a bit longer at the Jewish Museum Vienna, because there is something from both festivals during the Christmas holidays and you can be really creative: The many great objects and the suspenseful stories will help you along. Our children’s tour will tell you how the Christmas tree came to Vienna, what the cycling enthusiast Theodor Herzl thought of Chanukah, what the Jewish family Lieben ate at Christmas and much more. In the Atelier you will design extravagant cards, souvenirs and gifts – for Chrismukkah!
