From marriage contract to diary: The Museum archives provide fragementary excerpts from Jewish life. Official and private, religious and political items. Mundane documents and artistic works on paper make the Museum archive a treasure trove for all students of Viennese Jewish history.
The archive contains valuable 17th century marriage contracts as well as the 1941 diary of a young Viennese Jew. These graphic artworks, photographs, documents and manuscripts are fragmentary snapshots of Jewish life. The archive is open to visitors by prior appointment.
