Condition:
The entire surface of the silver repoussé plate is covered with a bluish-black, rather pronounced corrosion layer. The character of the material and the original esthetics of the sophisticated surface work have been lost.

Measures:
Removal of surface contamination, electrolytc reduction of corrosion layers (silver sulfide layer) through local application, subsequent mechanical cleaning.

Openwork rim with flowers and eagles; in center, scene of a temple sacrifice. In the old Jewish Museum, the object was inventoried as Seder plate.
Kurt und Rosalie Goldschmidt donated the plate to the museum on June 6, 1902. In 1938, the plate was confiscated and transferred to the Museum of Ethnology. The object was restituted to the Jewish Community (IKG) Vienna around 1950.
