Book presentation: Josef Grünberger „Forensische Psychodiagnostik und Psychotherapie im Strafvollzug“
Using the Mittersteig Treatment Facility in Vienna as an example, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Josef Grünberger demonstrates in his book how forensic psychodiagnostics and psychotherapy can be applied and implemented in the penal system. In separate articles the author provides various building components that are applied in the process. In addition to group counseling, psychotherapy and pupillometry, Professor Grünberger also presents the confrontation analysis of ethical deficits which he developed and the GBI projection procedure for prisoners. Moreover, he deals with the question of what roles religion and pastoral counseling play in civil commitment.
This work is rounded off by a brief outline of the development of civil commitment in Austria and the Mittersteig Treatment Facility in Vienna.
