For the thirteenth ORF Long Night of the Museums the Jewish Museum Vienna is once again organizing a varied and interesting program for young and old that will offer visitors a chance to discover the two museum sites – Museum Judenplatz and the museum in Dorotheergasse – in a new way.
Museum Judenplatz focuses on medieval Jewish Vienna, and the various objects, medieval synagogue and a virtual tour of Jewish Vienna take visitors on a journey back in time. At the same time a highly contemporary exhibition, “Jewish Geniuses – Warhol’s Jews,” can also be seen there.
The Jewish Museum Vienna in Dorotheergasse is full of contrasts – from Hebrew courses for children in the Atelier to guided tours of the Visible Display and the exhibition “Vienna. Jewish Museum. 21st Century.” A special highlight of the evening will be the performance by the Almendra duo, in which España meets Balkan!
The program and all information, meeting places for guided tours, etc., can be found here »
Tickets for the Long Night of the Museums can be purchased at our museums. Please note that because of religious services Museum Judenplatz will not open until 8.30 p.m.
