The famous Jewish painter Isidor Kaufmann designed the Shabbat Room in 1899 for the first Jewish Museum in Vienna, a room for celebration, among other things, of the Jewish day of rest. The Israeli artist Maya Zack has created a fantastic installation, allowing us to enter this room and even visit the artist in his studio. We will create our own Shabbat Room to see how Isidor Kaufmann might have celebrated Shabbat and consider what there is to do even when you are not allowed to work.More
