Book presentation: Roland Girtler „Eine Wiener Jüdin im Chor der deutschen Wehrmacht zu Notre-Dame“
In 1938, Friederike Okladek, who was born in 1921, fled from Vienna to Holland, from there to Paris and via Spain to Palestine. Later she returned to her native Vienna. For a long time it was not possible for displaced persons to give an account of the traumatic events. Over 20 years ago, toward the end of her life, her memoirs appeared. In retrospect, doubts about central statements emerged. These will be discussed in the new edition.
