"Mizrachi Futurism: Situated Systems" is a performance that probes the entangled processes of identity formation, visibility, and belonging through a Mizrachi, queer epistemic lens. It interrogates how cultural memory, ancestral transmission, and digital infrastructures co-construct the self, especially within systems that privilege legibility over complexity. In dialogue with the algorithmic gaze and the normative architectures of social media, the work resists epistemic flattening—foregrounding what remains opaque, partial, or deliberately concealed. Through ritual gestures, embodied presence, and mediated fragmentation, the performance unfolds as a critical site of knowledge-making: one that is relational, contested, and fundamentally situated.

Sheri Avraham is an artist, curator, director, and performer. In her work in the fields of photogram, installation, video, and performance, she reflects on contemporary forms of artistic expression and production.
